Logos and branding are the cornerstone to Graphic Design, and I wanted to set myself a little challenge. To pick a random company for each letter of the alphabet, and redesign their logo. Showing you the thought process that went into each one, showing you the sketches to the final application. Some might work so might not, but hopefully after all 26 logos are complete I will have developed my logo design skills and added to my portfolio.
So to start the journey I begin with the letter A. And after looking through a list of companies I picked out the name Acoustix a company specialising in reducing noise in office spaces.
The main thing I was picking out was this idea of noise reduction so looked at a range of mute icons and tried incorporating it into the X in the name.
The outcome I went with played on the mute symbol interlinking with the letter X with a single dot to help make sure of recognition of the letter i. The colours I went with come from elements I picked out from the original branding.
